My background in design greatly influences the colour, composition and content of my work. My interest in architecture, fashion, commercial and industrial design shows in my paintings. I hold vivid memories of colours, styles and designs from throughout my life and travels.

I choose my models for their strong, often luminous presence. Though faces are my starting point, I use colour to create depth and intensity, layering paint with subtle changes in hue for a complex effect.
